阿什莉·奧爾森和瑪麗·凱特·奧爾森是一對雙胞胎姐妹,阿什莉是姐姐,比妹妹瑪麗·凱特·奧爾森早出生兩分鐘。奧爾森姐妹身材嬌小,卻崇尚朋克流浪風格,酷愛穿大好幾號的寬松服飾,被大眾稱為垃圾裝代言人。奧爾森姐妹的身高,體重,造型,是大眾熱愛的談資。她有著丹麥與挪威血統(tǒng)。阿什莉·奧爾森姐妹奧爾森家雙胞胎姐妹阿什莉和瑪麗·凱特于1986年6月13日出生在加利福尼亞州的ShermanOaks,父親大衛(wèi),母親加耐蒂。這對雙胞胎第一次表演是在1987年,在電視劇《青春滿屋》中扮演MichelleTanner。在那一年中該劇成為熱門,書籍,玩具等相關產(chǎn)品也大賣,奧爾森姐妹當年的TVQ僅次于排名第一的BillCosby。她們共同扮演MichelleTanner這個角色直到1995年該劇結束。在參演“FullHouse”的這幾年中,她們和RobertThorne共同創(chuàng)建了自己的制作公司,很快就發(fā)行了專輯和音樂錄影帶“OurFirstVideo”。接下來的幾年里,她們又連續(xù)參演了多部電視,電影。
